Abstract

The electric part and magnetic part of the Weyl tensor with respect to the Kerr-Newman metric in Einstein-Cartan theory of gravitation are obtained, and their propagation equations are studied. The necessary and sufficient conditions for the electric part and the magnetic part to be propagated along the null vector field li are obtained. For particular types of free-gravitational field we tried to explore the meaning of these propagation equations with the help of NewmanPenrose, Jogia and Griffiths null tetrad formalism.
